Curious about the art scene in Earlysville? Spend a Saturday poking around Mud Dauber Pottery. Mud Dauber houses a working studio and separate gallery featuring the award-winning fine functional stoneware and earthware of Suzanne Crane, Becky Garrity and Sara Schneidman. Two-dimensional artwork is also displayed on the walls, featuring work by Virginia artists. Visitors can watch the potters work when they visit the gallery.

Enjoy the Earlysville Farmers Market weekly April through October on Thursdays from 4 – 7 pm. Almost 20 vendors display a fabulous assortment of fresh, local produce, a variety of plants, eggs, pulled pork barbecue, heritage pork and pastured chicken, luscious home-baked goods, breads, jams, honey and more. You will also discover a unique array of area artisan crafts.

Take the kids to spend some time at a local farm. Open Gate enjoys providing access to their small farm that raises chickens, pigs, goats, turkeys, ducks, cows and produce. They want children to experience the connection to their food source and have fun doing it. Open Gate Farm is eager to teach how farms can provide food that is clean, safe, nutritious, and doesn’t harm the earth in its production.
